Our story
It started with a
simple frustration
We work best with people who are doing it all — running a business and playing HR department at the same time, or juggling a family’s coverage without a benefits team to lean on. Since 2001, that’s exactly who The Shandro Group has served: real Treasure Valley families and small businesses who need a broker who explains things plainly and sticks around.
A lot has changed in the insurance industry since then — the launch of the ACA marketplace, the end of the individual mandate, constant carrier and plan changes, and, increasingly, who’s actually answering the phone. Across the country, private equity and national corporations have bought up independent local agencies, trading familiar agents for call centers and ticketing systems. The Shandro Group never sold. We’re still independently owned, still local, and still the same people you’ll reach when you call. And because brokers are paid the same way regardless of who owns the agency, working with an independent team like ours costs you nothing extra — you’re just getting the relationship you were supposed to have all along.
We’re proud to have been part of this community for over 25 years, and we intend to continue being exactly what we’ve always been: your advocate, not your call center.
